Lots to be Thankful for these days

JAMBO JAMBO!! (That's Swahili. Yeah, I guess I'm learning that too)
November 26, 2018

WHAT... A crazy week this has been.

To start off, Yvonne has been reading the Book of Mormon like a maniac. Earlier this week, she was in 1st Nephi, and then 2 DAYS LATER she was in the middle of Alma. She is getting baptized soon soon.

Me and Elder Atkinson are getting in the habit of saying everything 2x. The people here do that, and it is kinda an annoying thing for me to do, just because I am now conscious about it.

We had two baptisms yesterday. Dwayne Allen and Amissa Nyakura. The baptism went quite swell and They both asked me to give a talk, so I kinda had to write it in the middle of sacrament meeting. It was sweet and to the point. Both of them were so happy after getting dunked in the water.

We had zone conference with Elder Koch, one of the General Authorities in the Africa South East Presidency. He is a very very straight man, and as it turns out he is from Brazil so it was fun listening to him and his wife's accents. It was a combined Conference with the Durban, Hillcrest and Richards Bay zones, so there was around 50 missionaries and 100 fun.

Thanksgiving din-din was Panarotti's, an all you can eat pizza place. Me and my comp both downed 15 slices of pizza, and just when we thought we could not feel any worse, we went to McDankies and got large shakes to fill in any nook and crany that was not filled yet. THEN we continued to walk around 2ish miles back home, and The way I was feeling almost brought me to my knees. We literally ate until we wished we were dead.

Well, This Thanksgiving season and Christmas season is going to be one that will open our hearts to the Lord and everything that he is helping us with. We have seen it so many times everyday, The tender mercies we are given. One thing I can really say I am thankful for is my increasing love and testimony for the Gospel. The past months I have been here on mission have really touched my heart and increased my knowledge, and that alone has made this experience the best.

Love youz guys! Chow! (That is also Swahili)

1. Hey. Look what this sign says. This is actually a really popular name here.
2. See our faces? That is what we call a broken smile, as we struggle getting our ice cream down on thanksgiving day.

El Nino, Who dis?

November 19, 2018

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am sweating buckets these days and it looks like things are gonna get worse :') We are gonna be affected by El Nino this year so we are going to hit temps of 40c. I don't know what that calculates to, but honestly I'm scared to.

We have had a good week despite the terribly sunny weather. All of the people we are teaching are progressing nicely and we will have another 2 baptisms this next week. One of our investigators is 16 and She is having trouble with getting her mom to allow her to be baptized. At a bible study, some people attacked her for trying to get baptized into the church and now her mom feels the same way, so we are going to talk to her this week so she is a little bit more educated on the matter.

We have taught some less wealthy people this week and it is really humbling to see their situations. We taught a referral that we got from a member, and when we got there she started inviting anybody who wanted to come listen to her "personal Pastors!" That was interesting, and the lesson was all over the place. Most of the women were drunk, saying a lot of random things and I was really just trying to not laugh and get my head on straight so I could continue teaching. Afterwards my companion got his hat stolen by one of the people that listened to us so we had to spend some time getting it back.

The flying ants have been flying around full force and It is getting old. There were some little kids in a member family who spend a night catching them so they could eat them. I took pictures, but my computer ate stupid-o's for breakfast, so until next time.

Love you all! Enjoy the snowy weather back at home! hugs!

Questions from home:
1. Have you eaten anything weird or gross?
2.  What is something comical that has happened today? (Ya'll gotta laugh.)
3.  How is your belly?
4.  What is the internet shop like? Do you sit at a table, a desk, a counter, a cubicle? Do they offer food?
5.  How do you do your laundry?
6.  What is the biggest difference between homes in SA and homes in the US?
7.  How many wards do you cover? or do you cover a ward?
8.  How do you get around mostly? Walking, bikes, car, taxi?
9.  How can I better pray for you? What is your biggest challenge?
10. How to you make sure the progress you are making now will carry over to regular life here?

Let me answer your questions right quick
1. Well to be honest, The nastiest thing I have had is Tripe back in Lesotho. Here in the Bluff we don't get anything gross because people are more civilized. However, Sometime in the future I can imagine myself eating chicken head( That means everything in the head and the skull itself)  and sheep brain which is actually a delicacy here. The Xhosa and Zulu people here, When eating chicken, Eat everything including the bones. I have been trying to get into that habit, eating the bones. Is that bad?
2. Last week we had a dog from a members house almost follow us all the way back home which is super far away. On the way, We passed some BIG dogs, and we were in between them, and Slippers: The dog who followed us. They tried attacking each other and we found our selves in there as well swinging our bags around trying to break up the fight, all while people were walking around us. Super dodgy, that was.
3. My belly is... fine. Honestly. Of course some things have made me sick, but nothing out of the ordinary.
4. The internet shop we are at right now has these little cubicle things that we sit in. You pay R10 an hour and it is very hard to upload pictures because these computers have cancer or something. they don't offer food, but we bring some every now and then.
5. We hand wash. LOL not really, but sometimes I do if my shirt is smelling a little raunchier than usual. There is a community washing machine we use and then we hang dry our clothes. We have an indoor drying rack for our Garments that we keep in the bathroom because the bathroom is the only area big enough to fit it haha.
6. All windows, doors, and properties have burglar bars and large gates. The richer the area, the taller the gates and the higher the security system. The people here are really suspicious, and that is why we never see anyone when we walk and when we say hello to people they look away. It is crazy. People here have a hard time making something out of themselves, so the poor get poor and the rich get richer. You should go onto google maps and look at some of the houses on Marine Drive in Bluff.
7. We cover one ward but the boundary is GIhugeous. Is that a word? I reckon walking from one end to the other would cover 15 miles. The ward is in the proccess of getting split, so then there will be two ward buildings and a new set of missionaries.
8. We walk and Taxi. No cars in the mission anymore except for Couples, Zone leaders and Assistants. Walking stinketh because it is HOT and taxis are fun because how they drive. Street laws? What street laws.
9. My biggest problem is confidence. My hair. I'm trying to believe in miracles that it will grow back, but when I was praying about it, the thought that came to my head was "Stop worrying about it" so yeah.... I don't know. Maybe pray about my home card so I can buy a sun hat haha.
10. persistence? I don't know how to answer this one honestly....

Hope this gives you all the information you need. love you mummy!

WE GOT A BAPTISM!

November 12, 2018

YOOOOOO What is going on all the people that I love back at home? This past week has been a pretty good one.

First off, I went on an exchange with the AP's this week because President Thompson wanted to see how well we were doing in the area. I lead the area with elder Guymon, and my comp went to Berea, and since the exchange, President has been telling a lot of people about how amazing our work is going. It feels pretty good.

Along with that, we have found a lot of success this week. We Got to baptize sister Ntombikayise Ngidi (Try saying that mum) and we had 84 ward members attend and all our investigators that attended want to be baptized sooner than ever!!!

Everyone that is progressing with us right now is from Zimbabwe, apart from the Afrikaneers that we are teaching. They are just the best people and the spirit must draw us towards them!

Parker Webb, and Elder who served here 3 years ago, is in bluff right now and he has been taking us to lunch and dinner and also taking us other places in town so It has been super fun to have him around. He is planning on taking us to some returning members who stay a little far away. He speaks like, every african language. Even south African Sign Language. It is CRAZY.

It has been a good week. One of those that makes you say, "it has been a good week!"

Love you all!

Rainy dayz

Nov 5, 2018

This past week has been very hectic.

We went golfing last P day and It was super windy. It took 3 hours to play 9 holes, and I lost both balls my companion bought for me in water hazards due to the first 2 holes, so you can imagine the fun I had for 3 hours carrying around the clubs.

Halloween was super fun! It was rainy and cold so it felt like back at home! Nobody in Africa celebrates it though, so we were the only people here who carved jack o lanterns. We used kitchen knives to carve, so our artistic abilities were very limited.

We met some really cool people and taught some really good lessons. The only problem is that All of them discontinued the lessons. One kid we met named Mitchell was very promising and was even planning on coming with us to church. When we went to visit him again his father wanted to talk to us and told us we couldn't come anymore. It really put a damper on our spirits. The kid couldn't even choose for himself. He looked so sad. The next door we knocked the guy told us to *swear word* off. Good day, eh?

Another lady we have been teaching told us we can't come to her house anymore so I guess it looks like things are looking down.

This week is much more sunny Than last, so I think we will be able to make some serious changes in the work.
Love you guys. have a good week

Letter Home

October 29, 2018

There was a time back in Maseru that I was eating Pap with some spicy chilli sauce, and the sauce was so spicy that It made my nose bleed all over my food. It is a terrible feeling haha.

There is some Legit power in the Book of Mormon. I've come to see that reading it in the mornings will make us more productive. The days that I forget or am caught up with something else are usually the days that are slow or miserable. Plus, our desire to share the gospel with others is directly reflected on how much effort we put into studying the Book. I am trying really hard in my studies and this copy of the book or mormon is beginning to be my pride and joy.

For breakfast, I usually have two eggs, two slices of toast and choccy milk. The past days have been a STRUGGLE though, let me tell ya. This morning I just ate rice with nothing, and yesterday I didn't have breakfast or lunch. We have a little community washing machine that we wash our clothes in, and we have a small drying rack in our bathroom that I can hang-dry my garments on.

I miss Idaho! That is truly the best place in the world. Being here has helped me to realize that. I wan't you to come here to experience this place.

Looks like everything is good back at home. Seeing mom with that puppy sure does make me miss my Momma! It's good to know that the pupper isn't dead.

Something I have thought about this week is how many people back at home told me mission is the best thing and how I am going to love it. What they didn't tell me is that the part that I will love is seeing people change, and seeing myself change. The rest of the things we go through honestly suck a lot sometimes, but that is how we grow. The lord will never let us get comfortable, because that is when we slack.

We got our transfer news on Saturday so me and my comp are staying another 6 weeks in Bluff! WOOT WOOT! We have 6 people getting ready to be baptised, two of which will be baptised in 2 weeks. Mikyle is doing really well but when we asked him the interview questions he admitted to some things that we need to get sorted out but at least he is improving and changing.

Have a good week!

With love,
-Elder Moser

Whoopsie daisy...

October 22, 2018

Well, I can easily say that the last two weeks have been a TON better since the last time I did a weekly email. The words "come what may and love it" keep flooding my mind, so I am learning to look at everything with a happier perspective.

I want you to know that life is good. My card hasn't come yet, but I'm just learning to live without it. The work here is actually moving forward quite nicely, and we had 7 investigators at church this last sunday. We have 3 people getting ready to be baptized, all of them making sure that they are 100 percent ready, and knowing what they are getting themselves into. It makes me want to tear up sometimes.
My companion and I are still getting along really well. Sometimes I want to share my spiritual experiences or talk about things that really hit me, but he is not into that at all. In fact, we haven't done any companionship study this transfer, but we have made up for it in the work we have done I guess.

Two weeks ago we fasted with Mikyle to help him overcome his smoking addiction. It seemed impossible because he has been smoking since age 10 and he smoked like 12 cigs a day, but after we fasted he went cold turkey for like 4 days. He is back to smoking 1-4 a day, which is still a big improvement. Only problem is that now he is seeing demons in his home, and the stories and pictures he has drawn for us are way to specific for it to be fake, so I don't like that at all.

I went on another exchange with Elder Walker for two days. It was super rainy and our day full of appointments all canceled, but we still managed to find ways to fill our time with productive things.

We have a 16 year old living next door and her friend is super interested in the gospel. We gave her a book of Mormon and she reads it every day and even watches conference talks. She feels like our church leaders are called of God and she is still looking for an answer if all of this is really true. Cleo came with us to church yesterday and after showing her a picture of a temple she just looked blown away. Then, after church she told us she wants to be baptized and that she received the answer she needed. WOOHOO!!!

There are a couple words that have been added into my south African Vocabulary. One of them is "yo!" which you can say as many times as you want when something is even the slightest bit crazy. Another one is "Shame" which is fun to say when people explain why they don't come to church. It's not a rude thing to say, but actually, nothing is. People don't get offended here. We also say "Voetsek" To dogs or each other, which just means get out of here, but it is an Afrikanns things to say. So fun!
It has actually been really cold here, and wet, and crazy, but our stomachs are fed and we are working hard. We can feel your prayers working and we are praying for ya'll too.

Love you all c:
-Elder Moser

P.S. the lady living under us has been making us food trying to empty out her fridge because she is moving, but last night she asked if she could make us fish sandwiches while she was totally wasted! SO DRUNK haha. I said yes and then an hour later she came up while we were SLEEPING and gave us the sandwiches. I took a picture of them, I will upload it next week. It looked so funny to me haha

General Conference!

October 15, 2018

We finally got to listen to conference and I can proudly say that I genuinely enjoyed every minute of it. It is amazing how fast it goes by when you are actually listening to it, eh? I especially love the fire that Pres. Nelson gave about the name of the church. We have been talking with this 16 year old girl who is interested in learning more about the church and has asked both, "What is the difference between LDS and Christianity?" and "Are you guys Mormons?" It was like being put to the TEST! But, if it was a test from God, I passed.

My favourite talk was probably Uchtdorf. It was so sincere and didn't sound as robotic as the others, and the impression that I got from it was we are not baptising people merely so they can be saved, but we are Inviting them to be a part of God's army. To help us. I hope everyone we teach understands the divine responsibility.

Another impression I got from all the talks is that we do not have room to judge. "Can't you see that everyone around you is sacred?" -Robert C. Gay  We really need to look through the lens of infinite worth. It is too easy to not talk to someone because they are Muslim or homeless or other things such as this, but we are working hard as of now to include everyone.

Man there was so much about conference that was good, but maybe just to conclude, Elder Holland talking about forgiveness. We are required to forgive everyone no matter what has inflicted the wound. We HAVE to be healed, and if we hold on to wrongdoings then the Savior's atonement means nothing.

Mikyle came and even brought a friend and they sat through all the sessions!

Life on mission is better. Last week was tough but this week is better. You and mom are the only ones that emailed me and it felt like the world was collapsing on my shoulders. Talk about anxiety, but it is all good now. Me and my comp got to sit outside of our boarding and just relax, talk and cool down. We are outweighing the negative things with more positive. There is no dark side when you got sunshine in yo soul. Today we went golfing! Well, we just went to the driving range but I didn't do so good, plus the water hazard had large mouth bass in it and they were super active so I was trying to figure out how I could catch one haha.

Amanda is getting so pretty! She is the only one who hasn't emailed me yet, so whoop her for that one.

It has actually been cold the last couple days. It has been a little rainy, so I actually wore my Sotho blanket jacket one day. It's not like that now though, the sun is out and very hot.

I gotta say, I am feeling a lot better. Maybe it is because I have some money in my pocket, but I think it is because I have been trying really hard this week to put myself out there and talk to people regardless the situation, and bear powerful testimony.

Love ya!
-Elder  Moser

Tough Week.

October 7, 2018

Eesh, this has been a tough week.

Coming from smiley and nice Lesotho straight to Durban has been really hard. Nobody smiles and waves, people tell us to to *swear word* off on the daily, and taxi drivers get more money out of us than they should. Yet, we push through to to the Lords work with the strength that we still have.

Mikyle is still doing good. We taught him in the park yesterday and read from the book of Mormon with him. He remembers everything he reads and keeps all the commitments we give him, but he says the weirdest things. Yesterday he told us we have superpowers, and then told us about the dreams he has had about us. Super awkward, but he has good intentions. He has had a rough past and struggles with being accepted by friends and family. This gospel is giving him more hope, but now he wants his family to experience this too and they are not receptive to it at all. At least we get to meet his parents tomorrow, so that's a start.

On Friday we received another elder! Elder Tracy, the legend. He was in the MTC an extra 2 weeks because he had surgery whilst being there. Why the AP's decided to send him to us? I don't know, but it probably has to do with elder Ntaka knowing I'm cursed with 3somes. We only had him for a day and a half however, because we walked him too much and his wound reopened. Woops. Now he is back at the mission office.

Sorry if this email is kinda lame, I am just really trying to harvest my positive energy. The guy who runs this email shop is being rude to me because I tried to upload some pictures. And there is a fly that keeps flying around me. I'm kinda tilted right now to be honest. Mission is hard sometimes, but you just gotta slow down and look at the positive things that you got going for you. Suffer through the bad because good is on the way. Always.

I went on an exchange with an elder this week who was from England who shared with me his whole mission experience about how he has been depressed and wants to go home so bad because he has too. It kinda has put a damper on me this past week. Plus I was leading in our area so it was up to me to go find people to talk to, and our area is very hilly so he complained about that a bit. I had to find ways to be happy so he let me talk about fishing haha.

We have been doing most of our work in Montclaire, which is a taxi or two away. Taking taxis really eats at my allotment money, and not having a home card doesnt help at all either. I don't have any money left now, so this week I will be living off of Flavorless rice. How funny is that? Funds are low these days.

It is getting really hot so it is hard for me to keep focused because I feel stressed all the time. You know when you are stressed and you get hot flashes? Imagine that but it is because it is really hot and nobody wants to talk or even wave back to you. this area is hard.

Although there is a lot of roughness, we are still able to find success. The difference of this ward compared to the branch in Lesotho is that The members are super excited about missionary work, so they are working on getting us referrals. We are also working a lot on reactivating Priesthood holders. There are a lot of women in the wards but men have trouble staying. Since we missionaries have been back though, People are starting to come back.

Hooray for another Late Email!

October 2, 2018

Heyyyyyyyy..... guyss,

Sorry to bum you all out again in thinking I'm sending no email on Monday. We were in a really lame email shop and my computer was hardly working, and then the internet shut off so we didn't get to do much. The whole day was actually quite hectic. We spent the morning moving in to our new boarding and getting everything situated. Sister Hampshire told us that we needed to stay at the boarding until our brand new mattresses got delivered, but they came like 2 hours later, so we didn't have anything to do. No toilet paper, no food. Nothing. But the mattresses came and then we went to do all our pday stuff.

We had zone conference this week and my zone is really big. I also ate half of a chicken for lunch. That sounds impressive but the chickens are not as big here as they are in the US of A.

We don't have a car anymore! ha

We are teaching a white guy named Mikyle and he seems really promising. He sometimes says weird things like, "sometimes I think I'm an angel" but he really is trying to change. He is also our age so that makes teaching really nice. It is easier to connect. And did I mention he is white? White baptisms never happen here haha!

I gave a talk in church this Sunday about Developing Christlike Attributes. Something I thought about which is really cool in my opinion, Is that when Christ taught people, he taught them by the same spirit that we teach by. think about that the next time you bear testimony of the Savior:)

Well, that's a wrap folks! Pray we don't get robbed by monkeys here! Love yous!
-Elder 🍞 Moser

I'm in the BLUFF!!

September 25, 2018

Welcome back. I'm in the Bluff now, after a very hectic couple of days.

It all started off with us missionaries leaving lesotho *tears* and then driving to Bloemfontein, where I stayed the night with Elders Walker and Whiting. The next morning, A load of missionaries got in the Ford Ranger with Elder Hicks (from Blackfoot) and drove down to Bethlehem to hitch a ride on the Durban Express. It is really nice not being new in the field, because it makes meeting missionaries a whole lot less awkward. We Got on the Durban express then headed to durban on a really long drive. There were one 4 of us in the Express, so we had lots of leg room. The GPS for some reason took us on a weird detour and we found ourselves on a dirt road, Meaning our bags on the trailer behind us got covered in dirt. NEXT, it started to rain, so the dirt on our bags turned into mud. now my bag is covered in mud so I am pretty happy about that.

When we got to Durban, I was taken to the Pinetown boarding to meet my companion Elder Atkinson, and also Elders Chen and Chiromo. This is not the boarding we are to stay in for the transfer, but we are staying here until our boarding in Bluff opens up later this week. President Thompson granted us with a car so that we don't have to buy a taxi everyday to get to our area, so that is a pretty big blessing.

The first day in Bluff we walked around for about 5 minutes and found ourselves on a giant staircase that led to the indian ocean, so I will give some pics with that.

The area is pretty cool. All walks of life, including these little monkeys that kinda just run around everywhere. The community around us is very rich, so nobody will let us in. It is a big change from Lesotho where it is almost like people are begging us to visit them haha. No matter, we will find a way. We are gonna depend a lot on our ward to give us referrals, which should be no problem because this ward is seriously on fire when it comes to member missionary work.

Things are starting to heat up here. Both the weather and the work. I just hope that the work gets hotter than the weather, or else we will be miserable. Stay tuned for how things go this week! Love youz guys!

TRANSFER NEWS!

September 17, 2018

This week was pretty crazy. Last Monday was probably the worst day of our lives, because we literally walked about a million kilometers around Maseru. We somehow found ourselves in all the places that have been striking, and all so Ah Sam could buy some gummy snakes. At a KFC with a broken ice cream machine, we got a call from the zone leaders saying Elder Ntaka is going AP, so we had to get him across the border and get all his stuff sorted out immediately, so we didn't even get the chance to do any Pday things. We have had Elder Nielsen with us all week, which has been a lot of fun actually, but very crowded.

Transfer news got me shook. President Thompson called and we all put the phone on speaker. He told me I'm going to Ezekeni 2 with Elder Reay!!! But then he had to call back because there were 2 drunk Asians fighting really loudly, but when he called me back, he said he was just lying and that he is really sending me to open an area in Bluff. This area was open years ago but got shut down because of bogus missionaries. I understand that because it is right on the beach, so it's a good thing that I am not tempted by the beach. My new companion is Elder Atkinson. I'm super sad to leave Warner and I'm also scared to be starting literally from scratch, but I am up for the challenge. I just hope Presidents impression is right haha..... ha..

We had 105 people at church this week! That is a big improvement from our 55 last week. It is really too bad I am leaving now. We also have two baptisms next week that I won't be able to go to.:(

Well, I'm out of time. I got a haircut and the Pakistani dude gave me a fresh line haha. Didn't expect that but it happened. So. That is that.

Love you all!
-Elder Moser

Garbage

Cough, Cough........ Anddddddddddddd the Water is out AGAIN.

September 10, 2018

Well, Another week has passed. How crazy is it that I am almost done with my second transfer? I'm actually really scared for transfer news because we all think Elder Warner is going to get a new companion and go open a new area in TY, and I am going to be a trainer. We are getting 40 new missionaries in the next two transfers so the majority of the mission is going to be training. Ish.
All of us have been pretty sick this week and I don't know if it is from the change in seasons or just the dust flying around from the 40 mph wind, but we have been vegetables. Even on the days we tried to get out and work, it was really hard to focus on anything. or breathe even haha. Most days, Elder Warner was asleep on his bead trying to recover, but I couldn't sleep so I put together a 750 piece puzzle of Victoria falls:') hahahaaa.... so is life.
Yesterday we trekked up to the two towers from Lord of the Rings to try to find a man, Botsane, who has been coming to church but hasn't been visited by the missionaries. His house is literally at the top of the mountain, but it was Sunday so we took bikes. He started coming to our church because he heard something that he was looking for. He has been to every church in Maseru, but doesn't feel like he has learned how to achieve salvation and that is what he is most worried about. GOLDEN!! Super excited for the journey this guy is about to discover.
We found some Salt Lake City shirts for dirt cheap at mr. Price, and took some spicy squad pics. Enjoy!
Other than being sick, freezing, and watching the Book of Mormon animated classics, that is about all that happened this week! Until next time:)
Love you all!
-Elder Moser

And it came to pass....

September 4, 2018

Karabo!!!
I didn't know what to title my email but I felt like it needed one.
This whole email thing is really hard for me because as soon as i place my fingers on the keyboard, I forget everything that happened the past week.
I love pretty much everything about Lesotho. I mean, sure we had a hurricane last night, and sure our power and water are out, and sure people yell at us when we are in taxis because we are white, but There is still so much good. I love this place!
I got to go on an exchange this week with Elder Lowe, it was pretty sweet! We got to put some promising people on baptismal date! I got a call in the middle of the day from a ward member asking for a blessing, so we traveled into town so we could give her a blessing at her office haha. Turns out she was fine (even though she said she needed the blessing because she was dying) but she wanted comfort, because she kept getting in wrecks with her car haha. I think we should have given her car a blessing haha.
We have learned this week to not give up on people! Mpolokeng, a lady with very limited English read alma 7 this last week and wants to be baptized so bad. We thought she wasn't progressing because she never kept commitments, but she decided to read and miracles are happening now. She is  going to be baptized on October 7th which is perfect because that is her birthday! How crazy is that!
Bokang is someone we have been meeting with for a while. We had a lesson on the Plan of Salvation and It was very powerful and he gave us his honest thoughts with how he thought we were mad men when we first gave him the book of mormon, but now he knows it is true. He wants to be baptized now, but he wont commit to a date just yet because he wants his wife in on it too. PRECIOUS!
There was a day this week where me and my companion had a bad feeling about what was going to happen. We felt like we needed to go home and pray about what we should do. We aren't quite sure what the danger was but we are glad we listened to the spirit. We decided it was Okay to work in the area close to home. I wish listening to the spirit was easier though. We did have a cool experience with the spirit though, were we got bunked a couple of times and didn't know what was best to do with our time and so we decided to pray to find someone who is ready to receive the gospel. We did, and all I could picture in my mind was these houses that we have never gone to before. We went and found said houses and inside was two guys our age named Lehlohonolo and Moeketsi. They were super ready. They asked so many questions that it was a little sad that we couldn't spend 8 ours with them! But we will go back probably tomorrow to follow up.
On sunday we had a baptism! Karabo was the first convert I began teaching and got to see baptised as well. His mother was so happy, she never expected to see him a member of the church.
I love this little country of Lesotho!!!! Thank you everyone for the support! I hope the water turns back on soon so I can take a shower!

Love youz guyz! have a good week:)

Zone conference and Zone comps

August 27, 2018

So I found a puppy this week! That is the most exciting news.

We had zone conference this week which means that President Thompson came down to Lesotho to boogie with us! Me and Elder Warner were asked to speak for 30 minutes on how to build good missionary habits. We did a pretty good job and had an Epic discussion.

Me and Elder warner have not been companions much this week. I went on an exchange with one of the zone leaders, Elder Ntaka, and we went around as I led the area. The day after we had zone conference, and then the day after that, we had a double booked day with twice as many missionaries. So, me and Elder Johnson from Idaho falls (in my group) went around and did some good work. It has been a weird week.

We Had district Conference as well and I got to participate in the choir (p.s. I am famous on lesotho social media now lol). One of our investigators, Robert, walked in and I was really filled with the spirit for some reason. Robert is a guy who is sincerely looking for truth, and when he walked in it was something else. We didn't expect it because most sundays he is trying to track a guy to fix his car haha.

my computer is being a pain in the bootay and I am running out of time. I love you all SO MUCH! Also, my mission just started a 120 day book of mormon reading challenge! all of you should join!

Sala hantle!!!
